Frequently Asked Questions

How do I qualify for membership in The Kind Room?

Any legal resident of the State of Colorado and who bears a legal Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) medical marijuana registry card and who needs the services of a caregiver, may apply.

If you have decided our service may work for you, call, email, or visit us at our office. Please bring your current Medical Marijuana Register Card and valid Colorado Photo Identification card.

Is there any cost for membership?

The Kind Room has no fees for membership or educational classes.

I am disabled or can not come to the office?

Let us know. We will do our best to make other arrangements for you. We provide a delivery service for some patients depending on their specific situation.

I am a new patient and do not have a primary caregiver?

By selecting us, we are your caregiver and will assist you in filling out the patient/caregiver form.  As your caregiver, we can assist you in growing, providing medicine and use of medical marijuana. When you receive your new card with one of our members as your caregiver, please bring your new card with you on your next visit.

My last primary caregiver did not work out for me. How do I know that you will take care of me?

We are very professional in what we do. We coordinate and verify all transactions between growers and patients to insure our quality standards for medicine are met.

OK, I've applied...Now what?

As a full patient member, you are eligible for our full range of services including quality medication, edibles, extracts, concentrates, lotions, tinctures, discounted pricing on vaporizers, and more.

How long does it take before I get my first delivery of medicine?

A good question. The time varies depending upon the situation. During registration, our staff will verify records and set a date.  Usually, it is the same day.

What other states have Medical Marijuana laws?

Since 1996, fifteen states and DC have legalized medical marijuana use: AK, AZ, CA, CO, DC, HI, ME, MI, MT, NV, NJ, NM, OR, RI, VT, and WA. Maryland has passed a favorable law allowing medical use as a defense in court, but stopping short of legalizing medical use. Only Oregon and Montana have announced that they will accept out-of-state applications. It is unclear if non-residents will be able to apply to be qualifying registered patients in Arizona until the rules are determined by ADHS. Karen O'Keefe, JD, Director of State Policies for Marijuana Policy Project (MPP), told ProCon.org in a Nov. 2, 2010 email that "Patients and their caregivers can cultivate in 13 of the 15 states. Home cultivation is not allowed in New Jersey or the District of Columbia and a special license is required in New Mexico. In Arizona, patients can only cultivate if they live 25 miles or more from a dispensary.".

Do you take donations?

Yes. The Kind Room takes in donations. We make these donations 100% available to our members when they are in need. There is a waiting list for many items so make sure to sign up as soon as you are able.
