Welcome to The Kind Room     The Colorado Medical Marijuana Act (click here for a summary of the Amendment 20) does not specifically discuss where to access medical (therapeutic) marijuana. However, it does imply that the citizens of Colorado want to provide for the safe and affordable distribution of marijuana to all patients in medical need of marijuana. While some patients with long-term illnesses or injuries have the time, space, and skill to cultivate their own marijuana, the majority, particularly those in urban settings, do not have the ability or opportunity to provide (grow) for themselves.   For those patients, patient/caregivers or patient/caregiver associations are the only options for safe and legal access. This is especially true for those individuals who are suffering from a sudden, acute injury or illness.  Much of the most serious and debilitating injuries and illnesses require immediate relief. A cancer patient, for example, who has just begun chemotherapy, will typically need immediate access for help with nausea. It is unreasonable to exclude immediate access to those patients most in need simply because they are unable to garden, cannot wait months for relief, or do not want or know how to buy illegal street drugs.   Access to medical marijuana should not have to be difficult. Safe, legal, and anonymous access to medicine and information is provided by The Kind Room. We strive to operate a caregiver association that is a model of compassion and legal integrity, operating in strict compliance to the letter and in the spirit of Colorado's medical marijuana law. We are located in the greater metro Denver area.   The Kind Room is a member’s only medical marijuana caregiver association, providing “caregiver” services to patients.  Caregivers provide assistance to patients in growing, obtaining, and the utilization of medical marijuana. Caregivers are an essential element in the Colorado Medical Marijuana Program, and are registered with the State, along with the patients that they serve.  Registration with the state must be completed to become legal medical marijuana patients (which we are happy to help you complete) and is a prerequisite to join the Kind Room.   Click here for instructions.  We are a grass roots association founded by patients, patient caregivers, and other compassionate and concerned citizens dedicated to helping and advocating for those involved with the Colorado Medical Marijuana Program.  Our services to members include: ·      registration assistance for the Colorado Medical Marijuana Program ·      educational classes and monthly meetings to learn more about:   -  medical marijuana and its safe use         -  the legal aspects of being a medical marijuana            patient         -  growing your own medicine ·      doctor referrals for recommendations ·      affordable access to a wide variety of medical quality marijuana, including   -  an assortment of baked goods         -  a variety of alcohol based tinctures         -  a selection of cannabis oils and butters         -  discounted vaporizers and supplies ·      private and confidential services ·      high quality, professional, caregivers services ·      delivery service for qualified patients ·      patient support and advocacy ·      safe, clean, and accessible facilities   Membership Only individuals with an original and valid Colorado Medical Marijuana Registry card and government issued photo identification card may obtain membership and services.
